Frog Street drives its name from a medieval meeting place. It is tucked away in the depths of Somerset and surrounded by beautiful gardens and open farmland, yet on 6.5 miles from the M5. This Somerset longhouse dates back to the 15th Century and has plenty of charm and character including beamed ceilings, Jacobean panelling and open fireplaces. Here you will find character and comfort in equal measures. Outside, horses in the fields along with cows and sheep, riverside walks across the open farmland. Inside, private guest lounge with log fire, plenty of original beams and Jacobean panelling, along with luxurious bedrooms and bathrooms. Frog Street’s bedrooms are each distinctively different and individually decorated to the highest standard. Bedrooms look out on to farmland, cider apple orchards and the pretty garden. They are all spacious and comfortable, with white Egyptian cotton bedding, and a mix of antique and French style furniture. The atmosphere is friendly, restful and unpretentious. We provide a cooked, full English breakfast using the very best local produce, including our own free range eggs, local butcher's sausages and homemade preserves. A choice of vegetarian and continental breakfast is also available. An evening meal can be provided but must be pre-booked, dietary requirements can be catered for. Joan & Robin welcome you to Lindens. Our friendly family run bed and breakfast is situated at the top of Chard high street with excellent surroundings and facilities. Lindens has five main bedrooms, of which 3 are full en-suite, 2 double, with room for a cot bed, 1 family room (able to sleep 4). Each room has it's own T.V., Fridge, Tea and Coffee facilities & hair dryer. All our rooms are available for long & short stays. Families or Individuals, Business or Leisure all are welcome at any time. Lindens also caters for the disabled which includes wheelchair access, stair lift for those who cannot manage the stairs, bath hoist in the main bathroom and disabled equipment if required. Lindens has a large garden with swimming pool (summer only use), sauna and ample private parking. 
The George Inn is a beautuiful 15th century thatched pub set in the heart of picturesque Chardstock, right on the the Devon, Dorset and Somerset borders. It was originally a Church or Parish house where locals would gather after services to taste the beer brewed by two church nominated wardens.Evidence for the age of the building can be seen in the graffiti in the snug and lounge bar windows where the names and initials can be traced back through many generations of local families. the pub still maintains many original features such as old oak and linen fold panelling which is said to be one of the finest examples in the country. We have two bars and a restaurant serving traditional delicious English Foods and catering for all tastes and our Sunday Roasts should not be missed. Wines from France, Australia and South Africa are available to accompany your meal as well as traditional real ales. We have four lovely cottage style bedrooms situation in a barn conversion in the couryard to the rear of the pub. They are all en suite with bath and shower and following a restfull night's sleep a delicious Full English Breakfast is served in the bar.
